Cisco's logic is that modes are "transparent" and "non-transparent", same as shutdown interface and non-shutdown interface Smile
so use "no firewall transparent"

The message you mention means that data in flash might be corrupted (e.g loosing config) in that case PIX os will simply re-format it.
Poor performance is probably because of number of pemu processe ...

Pemu supports pixos 6.x but in order to work, you need to provide valid serial number and corresponding activation key in pemu.ini.
