Hi All,

I am trying to emulate a real router in my network and I can load the real configuration into dynamips successfully apart from a bunch of PVC sub commands:

pvc 1/100
class-vc VcClass_0
vc-hold-queue 1024
vbr-nrt 32224 32224 1
max-reserved-bandwidth 100
oam-pvc manage
oam retry 3 5 1
oam ais-rdi 15 3
encapsulation aal5snap
protocol ip inarp
service-policy output PMAP1

vc-hold-queue 1024
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
vbr-nrt 32224 32224 1
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
max-reserved-bandwidth 100
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
CBWFQ : Not supported on subinterfaces

The real device has an ATM-E3 card, but dynamips only has the PA-A1-OC3MM emulation. I don't understand it but I'm guessing this is the cause?

I can also confirm I am running an identical IOS in both cases.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Andrew.

The problem is that the PA-A1 does not support anything other than UBR, so no way to configure VBR, CBR, ABR etc. Also, service-policy is not supported.

See table 3 at:
End of Sale: PA-A1 ATM Port Adapter

Greg, Chris, you guys have done a great job to date. It is such an achievement to have all that emulated. Do you plan to support newer ATM cards like PA-A3 and PA-A6?

I don't think there is support for dynamips/dynagen anymore. That's what I saw on another post anyway.

I tried to create support for the PA-A3 basing the code on the PA-A1 but it turned out not to be that simple, so disgracefully I gave up.
