Hi
I am new to Dynamips.
I have a question about connecting multiple instances of vmware PC to NM-16ESW
I want to test vlan connectivity over two Cisco 3660 with NM-16ESW modules.
I need to connect 2 vmware PC to each NM-16SW module, and have 2 PC on each router in a different vlan.
Is this possible?

Hi
How far did you come?
I am able to run different vlans on one 3660 with NM-16ESW.
I have 3 Vmware computers connected to different switch ports. Two are in vlan2 and they can ping each other but not the one in vlan1.
I have not tried to trunk but I think it should work???

Hi again
I have tested trunking between two 3660 with NM-16ESW and it works fine.
Connected 3 Wmware computers on each side in 2 different vlans.
Vlan information is being transferred from the VTP server to the VTP client.
I am using Vmware Workstation 5.0 and Dynamips is running on the host computer

thanks, also when/if you test this with multiple pc's and 2 dynamips instances I would be interested in knowing if you can attach vmpc's to second dynamips instance switch and ping it. I tried but my first instance which would be on pc1 does not recognize the network device id for second pc vmpc network device id attached to the second switch, only the network devices on pc1, where .net is run.
thanks again
